About David Schwartz

A real estate development professional focused on affordable and transitional housing, David Schwartz has served as principal of Slate Property Group, a New York company he co-founded.. In this position, David Schwartz has guided the company through successful projects, such as completion of 92-61 165th Street, which provides 89 units of low-income housing for local residents, and 535 4th Avenue, transitional housing for homeless women and children.

Previously, Mr. Schwartz served as managing director at Madison Realty Capital and was co-founder of Rush Brook Partners, a Brooklyn-based firm that has overseen the acquisition, development, and financing for five projects. A graduate of Syracuse University, he holds a bachelor of science in finance.

Active in his community, he has served on the board of directors of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing and the Citizens Housing and Planning Council. Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys watching Syracuse University basketball and football, as well as playing tennis.
